A strong foundation in science and mathematics is the first step towards advancing in this field. To enter this field, it is essential to have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 12th grade. After that, you can pursue a graduation degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Mathematics, or Aeronautical Engineering. Many astronauts also serve as engineers, scientists, and military officers. They are assigned to different missions.
They are involved in research. They also make significant contributions to mission training and planning. Those interested in aircraft, rockets, and flight study Aerospace Engineering. To become an astronaut, a Master's or Doctoral degree is expected after a Bachelor's degree.
Other Essential Qualifications
A degree alone is not enough for an astronaut. Physical and mental fitness, good communication and teamwork skills, the ability to adapt to challenging situations, and the ability to calmly find solutions in difficult circumstances are also necessary.
