Take these precautions while keeping water in a copper vessel..

Copper vessels should always be kept clean and dry. Wash it regularly with natural methods so that it does not rust or stain. If the vessel becomes dirty, toxic substances may come in the water.

Generally it is considered right to keep water in a copper vessel for 6 to 8 hours. If kept for more than that, more amount of copper can dissolve in water, which can be harmful for health. This can cause vomiting, stomach ache, liver and kidney related problems.

Never keep sour, acidic or alkaline substances like lemon juice, vinegar etc. in a copper vessel, as this can affect the surface of the copper and toxic elements can get mixed in the water.

Do not drink water kept in a copper vessel throughout the day. Drinking only one glass of water in the morning is sufficient.
