Method
NDA:
If you have completed 10+2, then you can enter the Indian Army through the National Defense Academy. For this, it is necessary that your age limit should be between 16.5 to 19.5 years. NDA exam is conducted twice a year, in which questions related to Mathematics, GK, English are asked.
TES:
If you have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 70 percent marks in PCM subjects, then you can get admission as technical officers in the Indian Army under the Technical Entry Scheme (TES). The age limit should be between 16.5 to 19.5 years.
IMA:
By graduating in any subject from any university, you can join the Indian Army as officers under the Indian Military Academy. For this, you have to pass the Combined Defense Service Examination. The exam consists of questions on English, GK and Mathematics. This service is initially for 10 to 14 years. Based on performance, it can be changed to Long Service Commission. The age limit should be between 19 to 24 years.
UES:
If you have done a B.Tech degree recognized by AICTE and are between 18 to 24 years of age, then you can enter the Indian Army as a technical officer under the University Entry Scheme (UES).
NCC:
If you have been in NCC during your school-college studies and you have a 'C' certificate of NCC, then the Indian Army gives you direct admission. Both men and women are given admission in it. The age limit is 19 to 25 years.
