You will get these benefits

The nervous system will be calm:

Stress and anxiety impair our digestive health, which can lead to irregular bowel movements, acid reflux and even ulcers. Yoga-pranayama helps calm the nervous system, which keeps the stomach healthy by reducing stress hormones.

Increases the gut microbiome:

Yoga promotes microbiome health in the gut. The gut microbiome is a community of trillions of microorganisms living in our intestines, which plays an important role in digestion and overall health. Regular yoga practice reduces inflammation and improves nutrient absorption.

Things to keep in mind:

Hydration:

Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water every day to improve digestive health and to deal with problems like constipation.

Eat mindfully:

Chew your food well.

Eat a fibre-rich diet:

Include plenty of fruits, vegetables and whole grains in your diet.

Stress management:

Pranayama and meditation play a role in reducing stress. Hence, regular yoga practice is a must.

Remember, yoga is a journey that needs to be practiced consistently. Be patient with yourself and enjoy the benefits of yoga for your gut health and overall well-being.
