Salty Chia Seeds Pudding

  

Things You Will Need


  • 4 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1.5 cups roasted oats
  • 4 cups beaten thick curd
  • 1 cucumber finely chopped
  • 1 pomegranate seeds
  • 2 green chillies chopped
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • Some finely chopped coriander
  • Salt to taste
  • For tempering 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon urad dal
  • 1/2 tablespoon chickpeas
  • 1/4 tablespoon asafoetida
  • 1/2 tablespoon mustard seeds
  • 2 whole red chillies
  • 10-12 curry leaves
  • Some raw peanuts
  • 8-10 cashews

Method


Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Servings: 2-3 people


In a large bowl, add all the ingredients except the tempering ingredients and add chia seeds, oats, curd, cucumber, onion, coriander, pomegranate seeds, green chillies, salt and mix well. Heat oil in a Tadka pan and add mustard seeds, gram, urad dal, asafoetida, red chillies, curry leaves, peanuts and cashews and fry on low flame. Pour this tempering over the prepared curd mixture and mix well. Garnish with some chopped coriander. Chia seeds rich in protein and fiber are ready to serve.
