Method to test milk at home

We always have to wonder whether the milk coming to our house is real or fake, so to find out this, today we will tell you such a way by which you can check the milk at your home.

Method

1. Drop 2-3 drops of milk on a clean surface. If it flows slowly and leaves a white mark behind and stops, then it is pure. Milk containing water or other agents will flow immediately.

2. Put two drops of milk on litmus paper. If there is a dangerous adulteration of urea in it, then its color will change from red to blue.

3. Boil milk at room temperature and cool it. Then add one drop of one percent iodine solution. The appearance of blue color indicates the presence of starch which disappears on boiling and reappears on cooling. This means that milk is adulterated with starch.

4. Frothing when 5 to 10 ml of milk is mixed with an equal amount of water indicates the presence of detergent in the milk.
