Things You Will Need
- Raw Mangoes - 2kg
- Turmeric Powder - 2 spoon
- Salt - 2 spoon
- Coriander Seeds - 50gm
- fennel seeds - 50gm
- celery seeds - 50gm
- nigella seeds - 50gm
- fenugreek seeds - 100gm
- yellow mustard - 50gm
- red chilli powder - 2 spoon
- one spoon of vinegar
- 250 grams of mustard oil
Method
To make mango pickle, first of all you have to take two kilograms of raw mangoes. Now cut these raw mangoes into small pieces. Now you have to mix one spoon of turmeric and one spoon of salt in these chopped raw mangoes and keep them in the sun for two hours to dry.
While the raw mangoes are drying in the sun, you have to prepare the masala to put in the pickle. To prepare the masala, take 50 grams of coriander seeds, 50 grams of fennel seeds, 50 grams of celery seeds, 50 grams of nigella seeds, 100 grams of fenugreek seeds, 50 grams of yellow mustard. Mix all these spices well in a mixer.
Now you have to put the spices in the chopped raw mangoes and add two spoons of red chilli powder, one spoon of salt, one spoon of turmeric powder and one spoon of vinegar and mix all these spices well.
Now you have to fill these spice coated mangoes in a container or box. After filling the box with raw mangoes, you have to add 250 grams of mustard oil in it and mix it well.
Your mango pickle is ready. In the beginning the pickle tastes a little different but after some time when all the spices are mixed, the pickle tastes even better than the market one.
