Things You Will Need
- Flour - 1 cup
- Desi ghee (Butter) - 1 tsp
- Eno – 1 packet
- Sugar - 2 cups
- Water - 1 cup
- Yellow food coloring (optional)
Method
Now you have to make a solution by mixing flour with ghee and water. You do not have to make the solution too thick nor too thin. You have to mix the solution. While mixing the solution, you have to add a packet of Eno in it and mix the solution. Mix well, now you have to keep the solution covered for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, you have to fill the solution in a polythene bag or sauce bottle.
When you are filling the solution in polythene, you have to fill it with the help of a glass so that your solution does not fall on the ground. Make a small hole in one corner of the polythene so that you can easily pour your solution into the pan.
There is a hole in the sauce bottle, so you do not need to make a hole in the sauce bottle, you have to fill the solution in the sauce bottle and put the lid on it.
You can use either a sauce bottle or polythene.
Now you have to heat oil in a pan. Let the oil get very hot. If the oil is less hot then your jalebis will not swell and the syrup will not be able to fill them. You have to let the oil heat well.
Now you have to make the shape of Jalebi from the sauce bottle into a kadai. You have to use a flat pan. Now you have to let the jalebi cook till the color changes completely. When you take out the jalebi from the kadai, immediately put it in the syrup, and Dip the jalebi completely in the syrup with a spoon so that the syrup goes inside the jalebi. You have to put as much jalebi in the pan as can fit well in it. You have to keep the jalebi in the syrup for only 5 minutes, after that keep it in a separate plate. If you keep the Jalebi in the syrup for a long time then the Jalebi will not remain crisp, hence you have to keep the Jalebi in the syrup for 5 minutes and then take it out. Now your Jalebi is ready to eat. Now you will see that your Jalebi was absolutely fantastic and well made.
