In Ayurveda, Munakka is considered to be rich in medicinal properties. It is beneficial for conditions such as stomach ailments, skin diseases, acidity, anemia, weak bones, eye disorders, constipation, and heart disease.

Method


1. Constipation:

Soak Munakkas in a cup of water overnight. Consuming the soaked Munakkas and drinking the water in the morning helps relieve constipation and keeps the digestive system functioning smoothly.


2. Eye Health:

It contains Vitamin A and carotene, which prevent the weakening of eye muscles.


3. Bone Strength:

Munakka is beneficial for those suffering from joint pain. It contains a good amount of calcium, which helps increase bone density and provides relief from joint-related issues.

4. Acidity:

Soaking 7 Munakkas overnight and drinking the water in the morning helps alleviate acidity and gas problems. It also helps balance the *Vata*, *Pitta*, and *Kapha* doshas.


5. Anemia:

It is rich in iron and B-complex vitamins, which help boost hemoglobin levels, thereby aiding in the treatment of anemia.

6. Beneficial for Skin and Hair:

Drinking Munakka-infused water regularly purifies the blood. This adds a glow to the face and helps stop hair loss. It is also effective in overcoming physical weakness.

  • Munakka should be consumed in moderation; for adults, a daily intake of 5–7 Munakkas is sufficient.
  • Avoid eating or drinking anything for 30 minutes after consuming the Munakka water.
  • Remove the seeds before eating the Munakkas. Consuming it on an empty stomach is beneficial.
