Society has always kept mothers fitting into a mould. From the birth of the child to her job, from the morning tiffin to putting everyone to bed at night, a mother's entire day is spent working for others. But in this rush, she forgets that she is also a human being, who has her own dreams and preferences. On this Mother's Day, every mother should make a promise to herself that she will take care of herself along with the family.

1 Make time for yourself:

Just like you fix the time of taking your children to the doctor or for an office meeting, similarly fix half an hour of the day just for yourself. Tell your family that no one should bother you during this time. Spend it with yourself.

2 Learn Something New:

There is no age for learning. If you want to learn a new language, cooking style or do any digital course, then definitely start it. This will make you feel good. A mother has a lot to do with baby sitting, also handle the learning child within her.


3 go for a walk alone

Put earphones in your ears, play a song of your choice and go for a walk alone for 15 minutes. This short break will fill you with freshness. This break can also be taken in the nearby garden or on an empty road. And it is important for you.

4 Write down your thoughts:

If you are fond of writing, keep a diary. Write down the problems or happy things of the day in it. This makes the mind feel very light. Journaling makes solutions to many problems easier. 3

Don't forget your friends amidst household chores. Talk to them on phone or meet them once a week. Reliving old memories reduces stress. School talk will bring a smile to your face.

Often mother cooks only what everyone likes. Sometimes, make a dish of your choice just for your taste and enjoy it. Amidst your responsibilities to the family, never forget to take care of your likes and dislikes.

Take a short nap of 15-20 minutes in the afternoon. This is not laziness, but a way to re-energize your mind and body. Power nap is necessary for everyone. There is no need to feel guilty about this. Short sleep will help in keeping you fresh.

Do not carry the workload on your shoulders alone. Teach children small tasks and ask for help from others in the house. Asking for help is not a bad thing. Share the work with everyone.

10 Compliment yourself: 

Look at yourself happily in the mirror once a day and smile. Congratulate yourself on how well you are doing. Loving yourself is most important. It is not a good thing if your face ever looks sad or tired.
