Understanding the Causes

1. Irregularities in the ovulation process, PCOS, thyroid disorders, hyperprolactinemia, and extreme obesity or underweight conditions.

2. Problems with the fallopian tubes, including blockages or damage, Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID), genital tuberculosis, etc.

3. Uterine-related issues, such as fibroids, endometriosis, congenital abnormalities, etc.

4. Advancing age is also a major contributing factor.

5. In men: Sperm-related issues, testosterone deficiency, smoking, alcohol consumption, substance abuse, and exposure to excessive heat (e.g., placing a laptop on the lap, wearing tight clothing), etc.

What are the Treatments?

Treatments include ovulation induction medications, drugs to correct hormonal imbalances, laparoscopic surgery to unblock fallopian tubes, removal of fibroids, endometriosis, or polyps, and varicocele repair. Additionally, treatments are also administered using techniques such as ART, IVF, and ICSI.

Note:
Adopt a healthy lifestyle. Maintain a balanced diet, engage in regular exercise, manage stress, and abstain from substance abuse.
