 Methods to Prevent Sun Tanning

During the winter season, we often sit out in the sun; this causes the skin's complexion to darken, leading to the problem of tanning. Even winter sunlight contains harmful UV rays that can damage the skin. To maintain your skin's natural complexion, you can utilize simple ingredients readily available at home.

Method

Potato Juice:

This acts as a natural bleaching agent that reduces tanning without causing any harm to the skin. Grate a raw potato to extract its juice, then use a piece of cotton to apply it to the tanned areas.

Turmeric and Malai (Fresh Cream):

This pack is excellent for dry winter skin. Malai provides deep hydration, while turmeric helps eliminate pigmentation. Mix a pinch of turmeric and a few drops of rose water into one tablespoon of Malai, and apply the mixture to your face for 10–15 minutes.

Milk and Saffron:

Soak 3–4 strands of saffron in two tablespoons of raw milk, and apply this mixture to your face daily using a cotton pad. This helps brighten the complexion.

Oatmeal and Buttermilk Pack:

This pack exfoliates the skin and helps tighten it. Apply this paste to the affected area and leave it on for 20 minutes.

Lemon and Honey:

Mix a few drops of lemon juice into one tablespoon of honey, apply it to your face, and wash it off after 20 minutes. The Vitamin C present in lemon helps reduce tanning.

Yogurt and Besan (Gram Flour):

The lactic acid present in this mixture not only helps remove tanning but also improves overall skin tone. Apply this pack to your face for 15–20 minutes, and then wash it off.
