Include these in your diet

  • Eat more fiber-rich foods, such as fibrous fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and whole pulses.
  • Probiotics keep the digestive system healthy. Consume yogurt, buttermilk, and fermented foods.
  • Put a piece of ginger in a water bottle at night. Drink this water in the morning. This will relieve stomach problems.
  • Drink plenty of water and other liquids. If you have severe acidity, eat fewer citrus fruits.

Keep these things in mind

■ Avoid very spicy food. Do not eat citrus fruits, especially on an empty stomach. Do not consume large quantities of tea or coffee. Reduce your caffeine intake. Instead of drinking tea on an empty stomach, have it with two biscuits.

■ Use vegetables like cabbage, broccoli, cucumber, and radish in moderation and do not eat them raw. You can eat them after cooking them thoroughly. Eat sprouted grains only after cooking them slightly.

Prepare your plate like this

Early Morning -
Drink lukewarm fennel water on an empty stomach.

Breakfast (9:00 AM) -
Have poha/idli/upma/porridge with yogurt. You can also eat cold roti with yogurt.

Mid-Morning -
Snacks (11:00 AM) Have one seasonal fruit and soaked almonds and walnuts.

Lunch (1-2 PM) -
Two rotis made with multigrain flour, one bowl of seasonal vegetables, one bowl of yogurt or a glass of buttermilk, and a small plate of salad. Evening snack (4-5 pm) -
Sprouted and boiled mung beans, moth beans, and chickpeas / Roasted chickpeas

Dinner (8 pm) -
Salad or strained soup, 1-2 multigrain rotis, one bowl of vegetables, one bowl of split lentils (do not use whole lentils).

Before bed -
One cup of cold milk / Fennel seed water.
