Some unique recipes made from gram flour
It is rainy season now and in the rainy season everyone feels like eating something spicy. Generally, when it rains at everyone's house, everyone feels like eating pakoras but today I will tell you how to make a special dish from the same gram flour. Many types of dishes are made from gram flour because gram flour is used in making most of the dishes. Today I will tell you the recipe of a delicious dish made from gram flour.
1. Khandvi
Preparation time 10 minutes
Cooking time 20 minutes
Servings - for 2 people
Ingredients:
- 1 cup gram flour
- 2 cups paan
- 1 teaspoon ginger lachha
- 3 chopped green chillies
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt according to taste
- For tempering
- 1 teaspoon oil
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 pinch celery
- 2 pinches asafoetida
- 10 curry leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
- Chopped coriander leaves
Method:
Take gram flour and curd in a bowl. Mix, now add ginger and green chillies in water and after filtering mix it in gram flour curd mixture. Add salt and prepare smooth batter with the help of head grinder. Cook the mixture continuously stirring it with a spoon till it thickens. This mixture will become thick enough in about 5 minutes. When the mixture thickens, turn off the gas. Now take a plate, keep it upside down and spread the Khandvi mixture on the plate, when it dries, cut it into thin strips and roll it, serve with chutney.
2. Gram Flour Tutti Futti Cake
Preparation Time 30 minutes
Cooking Time 10 minutes
Servings- 2-3 people
Ingredients:
- Gram flour (finely ground) 1 cup
- Curd 1 cup
- Sugar (ground) 1 cup
- Milk 1/2 cup (lukewarm)
- Baking powder 1 teaspoon
- Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon
- Oil 1/2 cup
- Vanilla essence or cardamom powder 1/2 teaspoon
- Tutti Futti 3-4 tablespoons
- Lemon juice 1 teaspoon
- A little refined flour or gram flour to coat the Tutti Futti
Method:
Mix the Tutti Futti by adding some refined flour/gram flour. Grease a vessel with oil and keep butter paper in it. Beat curd and powdered sugar in a bowl. Add oil, milk and vanilla essence and mix. Sieve the gram flour and add it and fold it well. Add baking powder, baking soda and lemon juice. Immediately add broken pieces and mix gently. Put salt in a pan and place a stand, preheat for 5 minutes, then place the mold and close the lid and cook on low flame for 30-40 minutes. Let the cake cool completely, then remove it from the mold.
3. Cheese Gram Flour Nachos
Preparation Time 20 minutes
Cooking Time 30 minutes
Serving- For 2 people
Ingredients:
- 1 cup gram flour
- 1/2 teaspoon kasuri methi
- 1/4 teaspoon celery
- Salt according to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon red chilli
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Chilli flakes
- Oil
- Oregano
- For topping- finely chopped yellow, red-green capsicum
- Olives chopped
- Mozzarella cheese as required
Method:
Put all the ingredients except topping in a large bowl and knead a tight dough and keep it for 10 minutes. Divide it into 2 parts, roll it like a roti and cut it into square strips. Make a triangular cut on the strips and shape them into nachos. Heat oil and fry all the nachos. After frying all the nachos, stack the nachos on a plate and add mozzarella cheese and all the toppings on top and cover the pan with a lid and cook until the cheese melts. Enjoy cheesy gram flour nachos with family and friends. Eat and serve with your favorite sauce.
4. Rainbow Dhokla
Preparation time 05 minutes
Cooking time 10 minutes
Servings- for 2-3 people
Ingredients:
- 3 cups gram flour
- 1 cup curd
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup spinach puree
- 1/2 carrot puree
- 1/2 cup semolina
- Salt
- 1/4 baking soda
Method:
Mix gram flour with buttermilk and water in a bowl and keep it soaked. Divide it into three parts. Put spinach puree in one and carrot puree in the other. Apply oil on a plate, and put green gram flour in the dhokla stand for a minute. Then put white gram flour for a minute. Finally add orange gram flour and cover it and let it heat up. When all three cool down, take it out, cut it and serve with green or red chutney.
