Dal Pakwan Recipe
There is a new way of making Dal Pakwan. You can make Dal Pakwan easily at home and you will like this recipe
Things You Will Need
- 250 grams gram lentils
- Two cups of flour
- One onion
- One tomato
- Four-five green chillies (chopped)
- Half teaspoon cumin seeds
- Curry leaves
- Half teaspoon turmeric
- Half teaspoon ground red chilli
- A pinch of asafoetida
- One teaspoon dry mango powder
- Half teaspoon celery
- Coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Method
Wash the gram lentils and soak them for 2 hours. After that, put the lentils, turmeric, salt and chilli in a pressure cooker and cook until two-three whistles. Let the cooker cool down. Meanwhile, add oil, salt and celery to the flour and knead it. Keep it covered for a while. Now put two teaspoons of oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, curry leaves, dry mango powder, finely chopped green chilli, onion and tomato and fry well. Add lentils and cook well. Now heat oil in a pan. Roll out thin puris of flour, cut them with a knife and fry on low flame until they become crispy. Dal Pakwan is ready. While serving, garnish the dal with finely chopped onions, green chillies, tomatoes and coriander leaves. You can use whole wheat flour instead of refined flour. If you want, add a little refined flour to the flour so that crispy puris are made.
