Insta's Teen Account Feature




Instagram has recently launched the "Teen Account" feature, which aims to provide a safe and controlled online experience for teenagers. Instagram has more than 550 million users. This feature is designed to address concerns related to online safety and mental health.

Key features of Teen Account

Privacy Settings:

Teenagers' accounts are kept private by default, so only approved people can see their posts.

Parental monitoring:

Parents can monitor the activity of teenagers with Family Pairing.

Screen Time Restriction:

Teenagers will be prompted to take a break after 60 minutes. Notifications will be muted from 10 pm to 7 am.

Limited Messaging:

Teenagers will receive messages only from those they follow or have talked to before.

Content Moderation:

Harmful content and abusive language will be automatically filtered out, providing a safer online environment for teens.


How to access Teen Account?

Creating or updating an account: If you are under 18, Instagram will automatically set you to Teen Mode when you create a new account. To make changes to an existing account, go to Settings > Privacy Teen Account.
